SpectraZyme supplies a broad spectrum of non-animal derived enzymes including acid-stable lipase and three different proteases chosen to provide enzyme activity in a variety of pH ranges
Product Info
Two tablets with each meal or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
Digestive enzymes dissolve food into a state in which it can be absorbed into the bloodstream for distribution throughout the body. The three main components of food that are digested are carbohydrates, lipids (fats), and proteins. These components are respectively processed by three categories of enzymes: carbolytic, lipolytic, and proteolytic. Furthermore, there are multiple types of enzymes within each of those three categories that treat food in very specific ways at different stages of digestion. For example, two types of carbolytic enzymes are amylase and cellulase, but then there are different types of amylase and cellulase; the same is true for lipase (lipolytic) and protease (proteolytic). The Digestive Enzyme Support formula includes different kinds of each, which is why they are listed as "amylases", "cellulases", "lipases", and "proteases" on the label.
